      Verdict

      Highly competitive Listed fare which assembles a useful group of juveniles who've been plying their trade in Group and Listed competition for much of the season, so the run of the race is going to prove crucial. Barbill was narrowly beaten in Deauville last time, there is little between Neverland Rock and Sporting Chance on recent Group 2 form at Goodwood and Sunsprite is now upped in grade in search of a four-timer. The two fillies are both respected in receipt of the 5lb sex allowance with Gypsy Spirit preferred of the pair and Kessaar could be anything for the Gosden team after cantering home in a Windsor maiden after not giving his running at Royal Ascot. However, the choice is LIFE OF RILEY, a likeable colt who followed up a good Sandown second behind subsequent Roses Stakes winner, Well Done Fox, with an even better effort behind Rumble Inthejungle in the Group 3 Molecomb Stakes at Goodwood.
