Verdict
Arresting has the best form on offer of those to have raced previously but this is likely to go to one of those making their debut and we prefer to side with Dubai Success over Love Excelling and Wessex. The selection is a son of Sadler's Wells and should, as such, be appreciative of the cut in the ground. The Barry Hills-trained colt is a half-brother to Fillies' Mile winner Crystal Music and to Lancashire Oaks winner State Crystal and, if possessing similar ability will be tough to beat. Henry Cecil's Love Excelling also takes the eye on breeding being a half-sister by Polish Precedent to the stable's Oaks winner Love Divine but the fact that she has not seen a racecourse until now is a worry. Mark Johnston's Wessex is an American-bred son of Gone West and would probably want a faster surface.
