Verdict
A difficult race with six last time out winners and a narrow vote goes Jack Oliver, with Lafontaine Bleu and Algol just two of many dangers. Brian Meehan's colt showed improved form to get the better of Linkslade Lad at Windsor. That runner up is only rated fifty so on the face of it the selection does look harshly treated, however the stable's runners do progress with racing and he may be capable of much better. Lafontaine Bleu just got up to beat Fadeyev on soft ground at Ripon last time. Off this sort of mark she has to be rated a big danger. Algol was most impressive when landing a Catterick maiden last time. That was on fast ground and today's conditions are a slight concern. However he could still be involved in the finish. Picture Frame and Josr's Magic are also worthy of a mention, but Jack Oliver is the one that gets a tentative vote.
