        Verdict

        Bolton Hall catches the eye here and he gets the vote ahead of Mrs Moh and, possibly, Bessemer. The Richard Fahey-trained selection holds a fair chance on official ratings and, while that is not a foolproof way of approaching such races, he has put in some decent efforts since winning a Leicester handicap from a mark of 72, and this level looks a sensible option now. The best of these on ratings, though, is Mrs Moh, and there is no doubt that a repeat of her best form would make her a major player, and her last win came in this month last year. A repeat of her third to Tanforan two runs ago would give Maren a chance but her overall form, and a three-month absence, for us count against her, while Bessemer looks good for some money but those official ratings tell us that he needs to improve by a few pounds to beat some of these if they are at or near their best. Finally Master Joseph ran quite well at Yarmouth last time and the step up in trip will suit. However, he has something to find on official ratings, something that cannot be said for the selection, Bolton Hall.
