        Verdict

        In this decent event the vote goes to Jazz Scene ahead of mainly Snowed Under, although Go Solo and Wahoo Sam also rate a mention. The selection was becoming something of a nearly horse until a gelding operation had the desired winning effect at Haydock last time. He's been raised five pounds for that, but he could well be on the upgrade now and we will take the chance that that is the case. Much as Mistress Twister is consistent, winning from her current mark is another matter, while Wahoo Sam remains three pounds above a winning mark but he is eight pounds better off for the neck that he beat Go Solo at Hamilton in June. The latter has improved since then, although he was beaten from his revised rating at Hamilton last time. Despite running well from new marks, Nevada Desert remains five pounds above a winning one, but Snowed Under left the impression he still had more to come when winning at Leicester last time, his third win from his last five races, and we expect a good run from him. Voice Mail is a Bath specialist and others are preferred today, while Putra Kuantan has something prove now, and has not won since May 2004, but is not a forlorn hope if the cheekpieces have the desired effect. However, for today, we are happy to side with Jazz Scene.
