Galway Festival winner PIVOTAL TRIGGER was only beaten a length in a Longchamp Group 3 and earned a mark of 103 in the process. That should be good enough to land a race of this nature though Carlo Bianconi could also turn out to be useful. He started favourite for his debut at Gowran and looked the likely winner until headed close home and beaten a short-head. That looked a useful maiden and normal progress can see him give the selection a race. Stable companion Head Of State also started market leader at Dundalk in December but disappointed. He has an excellent pedigree and is likely to be much better than that.
