      Verdict

      CHRISTMAS showed the benefit of his opening run with a much better effort at Gowran where he couldn't quite hold off Hillwalker. There's more to come from the son of Galileo and he should go one better. Always running finished in front of the selection when both made their debuts at Leopardstown though the main threat should come from one of the newcomers. Mofakker is out of a Group 3 winner over this trip while Pulse Of Shanghai is out of a mare who has produced winners with her first three foals to race including two over this trip.
