In depth

Verdict

A very strong line-up for this moderate prize. Audrelles Lad hasn't had much racing for his age and showed definite signs of progress at Wexford where he made the useful Primroseandblue pull out the stops. The winner is trained by Willie Mullins who has Letherbelucky engaged here. She landed a bumper and a maiden hurdle on her first two starts but didn't appear to be suited by testing ground when runner-up to Top Madam at Down Royal. That was still a fair effort and she'll take some beating. Serein has some strong form in the bank but his last two runs at the backend of last year were disappointing and he has a long absence to overcome. DREAMING ON made all for a very impressive victory over this trip at Clonmel, only her third start over hurdles. There's better to come from her and she's handed the vote. The improving Clonmel winner Tristram Shandy can do best of the remainder.
