In depth

Verdict

Veneto finished only a length behind the unbeaten Dabirsim in a Group 1 over 7f at the Arc meeting last time, but that was such an improvement on his earlier form there has to be a question mark as to him repeating that run here. SAINT PELLERIN looks a more solid option as he won his first three starts before finding only one too good in a Group 3 at Longchamp last month. Collateral form gives him the beating of both French Fifteen and Ice Cool and he gets the vote. Kendam won a Group 3 sprint on her latest start but has yet to race over a mile, while Learn was well beaten by his stablemate Camelot in the Racing Post Trophy last week. Salair Haut and Bonfire are thrown in at the deep end after winning their respective debuts and Swing Alone is hard to fancy.
