Verdict
A poor handicap and Wild Fell Hall is selected ahead of Hatch A Plan and Three Thieves. Wild Fell Hall is still a maiden but there appeared to be a fair degree of confidence behind him on his latest start and while he narrowly failed to justify it at Leicester, this is a similarly lowbrow affair. Hatch A Plan is a frustrating type to win with but connections have ditched Travis Block and have recruited Richard Quinn in an effort to regain the winning thread. The market is watched. Three Thieves is completely exposed on the all-weather but has few turf races on his record. He did win at Musselburgh as a juvenile so the market will tell its own tale. There is a suspicion that Princess Lavinia might need a little more cut in the ground but she warrants respect in a weak race. Almavara returns to flat racing under Charlie Morlock's tutilage having previously campaigned on the level with Jeremy Noseda. Wild Fell Hall is the selection in a race that should not take much in the way of winning.
