Verdict

Richard Hannon and Pat Dobbs teamed up to win this race last season and BE BOLD can provide a repeat performance in this year's renewal. The colt had been unfortunate to take on some solid opposition in his first two starts, but he took his opportunity well at Chepstow and can go on to better things. The trainer muddies the waters with his entry of Doomah. A winner at Warwick on soft ground, she patently failed to stay when stepped up to seven furlongs at Doncaster. Justice Well was ahead of Jaganory when the pair met in the Chesham Stakes though David Elsworth's colt will need to have improved in order to concede the penalty he accrued for his price at the sales. Feelin Easy won a big field maiden auction race at Newbury and she takes her chance against runners of both sexes on this occasion.
