Verdict

Makashi has finished second three times since May but it will be disappointing if one of his rivals doesn’t prove more progressive and he turned in a shocker last time at Doncaster. Red Genesis was only beaten a head at Lingfield over 6f and should go close if handling the quicker surface but PEINTRE D’ETOILES looks the one to be on as she showed a good attitude when runner-up at Lingfield having run green on debut. Undertheboardwalk was a 40,000gns yearling and Murphy rides so Brian Meehan’s Acclamation filly is worth a second look.
