Verdict
The second division of the maiden doesn't look quite as strong as the first and the vote goes to By Command ahead of Grimes Hope and Redolent. The selection made a pleasing debut when fourth at Sandown and with nominal improvement he looks a major player. He ran very green on that occasion having been slowly away and with this quicker ground likely to pose no problems, he gets the nod. Huzzah seemed to regress from first to second runs and needs to improve for this longer trip (shapes as if he will), whilst Richard Hannon has a couple of likely newcomers in the shape of Grimes Hope and Redolent. Siberian Tiger needs to step up on his two efforts so far, whilst Cool The Heels represents a stable who can get one ready first time out. The same applies to Ryan Moore's mount Fast Company, a 140,000 guineas son of Danehill Dancer. The market will help point the way, however By Command can build on his good first run and win today.
