Verdict

LAURELITA was aimed high on her reappearance at Saint-Cloud but failed to cope in Listed company. This is more her level and the Chepstow winner is preferred to the other lightly-raced winners Brown Eyed Honey and Melrose Abbey. The former won a 7f classified event at Kempton last time and the latter picked up a maiden race over today's trip at Chepstow. Surcingle has something to prove after a couple of poor efforts albeit in better company than this while Rosehill Artist won here last season and also drops down in class.
