Verdict
The booking of J.P. Spencer for Amanda Perrett's Bobsleigh catches the eye in this stayers handicap and could prove a significant factor in a trappy event. A good winner at Yarmouth last time, Bobsleigh is less exposed than most of these and should go well. Topweight Typhoon Tilly has been knocking on the door and again ran a solid race at Sandown three weeks ago so should go close again, whilst Route Barree came right back to form when popping up at Brighton in July and cannot be ruled out in his bid to follow up. Fletcher was a shade disappointing when only third at Yarmouth in a modest hear and might expect to achieve a place at best, a comment that applies equally to Friendly Alliance who seems very one-paced at the business end of his races.
