Mal Saunders took this fillies' handicap last year with My Girl Pearl and off 1lb higher they can repeat the dose, with China Cherub, Rogue and Tapau others to consider. The selection was a three length winner of this on fast ground a year ago, and has run well enough off higher marks since. Her two length sixth to Piddies Pride at Folkestone last time shows that she is still in decent enough nick and a 2lb drop here should give her every chance. Rogue is a lightly raced sort who showed a penchant for c&d when runner up here last time and a repeat of that effort should see her in the frame again. China Cherub is a distance winner who disappointed slightly when beaten favourite at Leicester over 7f last time, but who will probably appreciate the drop back in trip and is set for another good run. Of the remainder Tapau makes some appeal off this lowly mark, having plummeted through the weights before showing up well at Lingfield last time. She can't be discounted, but My Girl Pearl might just have been laid out for this again and can repeat last year's win.
