    Verdict

Though an eight-year-old now, REGAL REALITY is still very effective at this level when in the mood, as he was at Epsom in June. Suited by small fields, he may be worth sticking with. Pogo has also been a fixture in races like this down the years but, despite winning three times last year, he hasn’t been quite at his best so far this term. Chichester won a Listed race at York in June, however, though has changed stables since. Mighty Ulysses will have needed his run in a Group 2 at Ascot last month but the three-year-old Embesto may be a bigger danger even though the winner hasn’t franked the form of his latest second in a Listed event at Newmarket.
