Verdict
From a short list containing La Fanciulla, Mocha Java, The City Kid and Radius, we will side with The City Kid. Dropped to this company for the first time, Mocha Java has shown more than enough in handicaps to be given a good chance today. Radius is also dropping in grade and has shown promise in a light career, while La Fanciulla has also shown handicap promise and is another that should be more at home in this grade. The City Kid has already won at this level, albeit at Southwell, but he holds enough Turf form to be high on the short list of possibles for this race. Croft is another to be dropping in grade and could go well, although the horses previously mentioned look to be the major players, chief among which might prove to be The City Kid.
