In depth

Verdict

DAIRERIN (NAP) made a winning debut over 5f at Ripon before caught on the line over this trip at Newbury. He started favourite for a better race than this at Epsom and got outpaced at a crucial stage over a track that wasn't certain to suit. He holds Blue Collar Lad on that latter run and can get back to winning ways. Richard Hannon has two entries; Hotline Bling couldn't handle Listed company after a narrow victory at Thirsk but Groom showed marked improvement to score easily over the course and distance a couple of weeks ago. General Panic already has two victories to his credit and ran well in the other two.
