Verdict

Arctic Sound looks a typical Johnston improver and cruised home at Beverley latest so has to go on the short-list. Both Fox Tal and Dark Jedi got off the mark at Ffos Las but both by narrow margins and further improvement is required for this immediate move into Listed grade, though that's more than likely and the Hills colt could be one to follow. The fact that Kuwait Currency is the chosen representative from the Hannon juvenile team is noteworthy in itself and Dubai Dominion did well stepping up from a promising debut to land a fair Newmarket maiden. NATE THE GREAT is the sole member of the sextet who didn't win last time but he has already performed really well in two Listed contests, including when runner-up in the Chesham at Royal Ascot, and sets the standard here.
