Verdict
Starry Lodge has the beating of Coolbythepool on running at Ayr in May and is fancied to again get the better of Mark Johnston's horse with Numitas and Trouble At Bay rated the main dangers. Although improved since being beaten by the selection last month, Coolbythepool meets Luca Cumani's colt on worse terms today and is difficult to fancy. Numitas is unexposed over the trip and has to be respected coming, as he does, from Sir Mark Prescott's stable. Trouble At Bay has been raised 7lbs since winning at Bath last time and has more on his plate today and a bigger danger may come from recent Thirsk maiden winner Majhud, who is another unexposed runner over middle distances. Starry Lodge has solid claims though and should take plenty of beating.
