Verdict
ENNISTOWN stepped up to this trip for the first time at Haydock and ran out a comfortable winner over Ray Ward. He's been fortunate to incur just a 5lb rise and should follow up. Cafe Society couldn't quite quicken enough behind Brass Ring at Newmarket but it was still a good effort and there's more to come from him as there is from Royal Signaller, who battled on strongly to beat Linguine at Goodwood. After completing a hat-trick over this trip, Poetic Verse couldn't manage the step-up to 1m6f and a 7lb rise at Sandown but there was nothing wrong with Snowy Dawn's narrow defeat by Ralston Road at Chester. Isis Blue scored over 1m2f here before staying on over the same trip at Sandown where he never got into the race.
