Verdict
With a $1.2 million price tag to live up to there is going to be plenty of interest in the performance of Albareq. A beautifully bred son of Kingmambo he has been found a good opportunity to get off the mark at the first time of asking. Great Game represents the best form in the contest and wasn't disgraced when a beaten favourite last time behind the useful Tamasuk and should give Albareq a good workout. Of the other newcomers, Norse Dancer, a son of Halling and Phoenix Reach a son of Alhaarth are both likely to have ability and any market support would be worthy of note.
