Verdict
None have any real secrets from the handicapper but OKOOL does appeal as one who may improve further. The relatively lightly-raced son of Cape Cross has been patiently handled by Owen Burrows and posted an excellent performance on seasonal reappearance in a competitive 1m4f handicap at the Dante meeting, staying on steadily to claim fourth spot in a 17-runner field. His running style suggests this extra 2f will not come amiss and the assessor has left him on an unchanged mark. Air Squadron returns to the Flat for the first time in 648 days and should not be discounted, whilst course and distance winner, Fitzwilly, has a definite claim off the bottom perch. Mistress Quickly is currently hard to assess, Keep In Line may need to drop a pound or two and Hawkerland may need the run.
