Verdict
Oceanus started favourite on his debut over 6f at Newbury but could only stay on at one pace then was totally unsuited to Chester. He has questions to answer and some of his rivals have smart pedigrees. Glendun is out of a useful miler in the USA while Larchmont Lad cost €110,000 and is a half-brother to a couple of winners. The latter's stable companion Plant Pot Power is a half-brother to a winning two-year-old and also a winning hurdler while The Queen's Maths Prize catches the eye. He's a half-brother to a smart winner in Australia and should win his share but the vote goes to NAVAL WARFARE, a half-brother to the Group 2 winner Gregorian and other winners.
