In depth
Verdict
Corridor Creeper deserves to get his head in front and can do so here at the expense of Texas Gold, Matty Tun and Whistler. Milton Bradley's seven-year-old has gone close on a number of occasions, none more so than when second to Caribbean Coral in last Friday's Gosforth Park Sprint at Newcastle. The ground was softer than he would have liked, but he still beat the rest of the field, and under today's conditions, he gets a great chance to atone. After taking on top company in the Wokingham earlier, he certainly has nothing to fear from this opposition, including Texas Gold who has yet to recapture last season's form but is getting there. Matty Tun looks held on last week's form but is a course and distance winner at Sandown, while the selection's stablemate Whistler is no back number, having won here under Richard Hills in June. Connect disappointed at York after two good efforts behind Racoon, but it would not surprise us if he were placed, but the time is right for Corridor Creeper to come good.
