Verdict
This looks tricky as Antartica De Thaix might have preferred easier ground but she was a consistent sort over hurdles and should go well if taking to fences. Pilgrims Bay should also have a future over the larger obstacles, though makes his seasonal reappearance today. Volvalien won at Sedgefield in October but the form hasn't worked out and he's 5lb higher here while Masterplan was very disappointing when favourite at Carlisle and hasn't shown a great deal in recent runs. JABOLTISKI was highly tried over hurdles last season after winning at Exeter a year ago. He gets a handy 7lb weight-for-age allowance on his chasing bow and Philip Hobbs clearly thinks he'll handle these stiff fences. Get Involved has shown promise but may find this on the short side.
