Verdict
Red Devil Star got nowhere near all-the-way winner Sirabad at Wincanton but looks to be improving with experience over fences. Chepstow third Back By Midnight is not out of this off bottom weight while this is Chestnut Ben's time of year and he'll strip fitter for a spin around Wetherby. Little Jimmy returns from a break, however, and Greywell Boy has an even longer absence to overcome. GORES ISLAND hasn't won in almost two years but he's now on his lowest-ever mark over fences and there was some encouragement in a comeback second at Plumpton. Upsanddowns has been on the go all summer but remains winless over the larger obstacles, despite a tumbling mark.
