In depth

Verdict

Trompette is of interest here but she will need to be at her best to score first time up this year so preference instead is for Fredensborg ahead of Tino Tino and Esprit De Corps. The selection ran well on his reappearance run when bumping into the very useful Palomar who still looks a very well-treated horse. That was a good effort returning from a break and with the ground to suit this afternoon, a big run should be on the cards. Tino Tino makes his British debut today and could be a potential blot on the handicap. The worth of that French form is hard to assess but his yard certainly know the time of day and he may not need to be fully tuned up to take this. Doctor David caused a shock last time but may find this too tough, whilst Dhedaah and Stumped have both been put up in the weights for recent wins and will need to pull out more although the ground suits both. Esprit De Corps is unexposed and showed a good attitude when winning last time, whilst Mon Michel needs to be watched in the betting. Five Dream is yet another who needs to be added to what is becoming a rather lengthy shortlist, however we will return to Fredensborg for the winner.
