Verdict
Some of these have become very hard to win with but Strathsclyde has hinted at a return to form of late and he just gets the vote over Online Investor, Midnight Parkes and Zargus. The booking of Pat Eddery for the selection is an obvious plus and the return to Sandown Park should suit the four-year-old, as he acted very well on the course on his only other previous visit to Esher. Online Investor has a little bit to find with the selection on a line through Fire Up The Band, but it will be interesting if there is confidence for him in the ring. Zargus is a tough performer on his day and is better than recent form suggests, although he does need to get the run of the race to figure. Midnight Parkes is another that is capable of going close on the pick of his form and will be a big threat to them all if the rain holds off.
