Verdict

If PEACE AND CO is to harbour realistic Champion Hurdle aspirations, last year's Triumph Hurdle winner will need to score here with the minimum of fuss. Unbeaten last season, he blew out completely on his return to action this term and Daryl Jacob's main challenge will be to get this free-going sort settled into a rhythm off which he can quicken. Course and distance winner Rayvin Black is a confirmed trailblazer which should aid his cause but Oliver Sherwood's charge continues on the upgrade and it would be no surprise to see him give the assured favourite, who is no betting proposition, a real race. Paul Nicholls' juvenile hurdler Connetable is up against it taking on his elders at this stage of his development but is preferred for third spot.
