In depth

Verdict

WEST TO THE BRIDGE has come right back to his best recently with victories at Chepstow and Carlisle. Though up another 3lb, he is still not badly treated and Dan Skelton puts up 7lb claimer Tristan Durrell to reduce his welter burden. Benson looks a threat being only a pound higher than winning a Listed handicap over 2m here last season and Fifty Ball is 4lb lower than when second in last year’s Betfair Hurdle. Second here in December, Kamaxos placed in a Class 2 at Newbury subsequently off today’s mark and should be winning soon while Git Maker is unbeaten so far under Rules and makes his handicap debut.
