In depth

Verdict

A typically wide-open handicap for three-year-olds on paper but proven form in soft going is in short supply. Almoreb coped well enough when winning a maiden at Newbury on his reappearance and can figure but ME TOO NAGASAKI (NAP) is preferred. The latter has been beaten on the all-weather either side of scoring in heavy going at Doncaster last month and Jeremy Noseda’s colt has a leading chance on that evidence. Dancing Breeze finished last of six on the soft at York last time albeit in Listed company while the likes of Envoy, Surrey Hope and Pivoine are all unexposed maiden winners with something to prove on today’s ground.
