Verdict

AMI DEBOIS has been in good form this season and has his ground again. He’s gone up another 4lb since just beaten in a higher grade over course and distance five weeks ago but is still the one to beat. Salmanazar gives the impression he is capable of winning off his current mark and was well ahead of Kansas City Chief when fourth here last month. Favorito Buck's could easily bounce back following a break but, along with Potters Approach, seems to prefer better ground whereas conditions won’t both bother Vinnie Lewis or Bob Mahler. Commodore successfully stepped up to 3m at Warwick but has more on his plate here, as does The Bay Birch. Course specialist Loose Chips isn’t getting any younger.
