In depth

Verdict

Money Market was only worn down close home on a softer surface over this trip at Windsor last time and on today's ground Richard Hannon's gelding is taken to go one better with the main threats likely to come from Kryena and Well Established. The last mentioned lost no caste in defeat behind Proclamation in a Newmarket maiden on his only start as a juvenile but an absence since then is of concern as it is for Henry Cecil's Quatre Saisons. Captain General has given very little sign for encouragement in two starts so far and of more interest has to be Fulke Johnson Houghton's Kryena, who showed improved form behind Kydd Gloves (a winner in handicap-company since) here over a mile last time and may improve further for today's longer trip. Money Market has proven form over the trip though and that swings the vote in his favour.
