In depth

Verdict

The Bear Trap can be a little quirky but did win on his reappearance last season and looks a better bet than the other JP McManus runner, Touch Back. It's unlikely Merehead will fail through lack of fitness, despite the lengthy absence, while Dawn Twister is usually thereabouts, though is closely handicapped with Doctor Foxtrot on their run together at Doncaster in March - the latter also goes well fresh. KILMURVY made a perfectly respectable comeback at Stratford two weeks ago. This stiffer track is in his favour and he can get back to winning ways as Frizzo has his first run for 18 months.
