Verdict
The feature event of the day and the three year old ATLANTIC SPORT can get back to winning way here after a promising effort in better company at Goodwood. Lightly raced as a juvenile and delayed making his reappearance as a three year old, the mile at Goodwood looked as far as Atlantic Sport wanted to go as his run flattered out inside the closing stages. The stiff seven furlongs here looks exactly what he requires and despite reservations with how he will handle the ground, his half-sister Ya Hajar did act on easy ground. Dijeerr returned after a five month absence to post a workmanlike victory at Newmarket last time. He did receive the run of the race there but he should come on for that run and is proven on easy surfaces. Vitznau looks plenty high enough in the handicap and connections appear caught between two stools at this point with him possibly just lacking the class of some in this. The well travelled Captain Marvelous returns after a short break. He lacks gears at the crucial point in these type of races and this stiff seven might just help overcome that while Damika, who was out-paced over six furlongs at Newmarket last time should be suited by the return to seven here. Atlantic Sport can land the feature contest of the day.
