Verdict
A quiet start to a decent card for the time of year and Phillip Hobbs looks to have found a decent opportunity for Orangerie to get himself back on track. The gelding looked to be a useful recruit to the hurdles scene when getting off the mark at Cheltenham last October, but lost his way a little afterwards. He holds better form than most of his rivals today and can score with a clear round. His latest outing can be forgiven as he met trouble in running when he unseated Richard Johnson at an early stage. Silk Trader is the likeliest candidate to capitalize if Orangerie fails to deliver. Towasi needs to improve on what he has shown so far to figure.
