Verdict
The betting ring will provide the best clues for most of these and the race should be viewed with a selective approach. Hawk's Landing was a decisive winner of a similar race at Kempton last month and sets a good standard for the rest. However, horses with a penalty are notoriously hard to win with in bumpers and he will need to be at the top of his game to overcome the burden. Royal Rosa gets a weight-for-age allowance but is also one to have reservations about under a 7lb penalty at this trip. Therefore, in the absence of any betting clues, Patricksnineteenth is taken to build on his promising debut behind a useful sort at Haydock last month. He hails from a stable that is in fair form at present and his experience will be a valuable tool today.
