Guy Disney and RATHLIN ROSE won this in 2017 and 2018 and the partnership had every chance 12 months ago when parting company at the second-last. The 12-year-old has to concede weight all round but he ran well in the Sussex National last month and a similar effort here may well suffice. Diger Daudaie needs forgiving a shocking effort when favourite at Carlisle in December but Ozzy Thomas has been going well over hurdles this season and can figure if handling the switch back to larger obstacles. Like the selection, Le Reve is a course specialist but he’s not fired the last twice and has had a wind operation since last seen. Catamaran Du Seuil looks a bigger danger as he’s been steadily coming to hand, though his stable is a little quiet at present.
