In depth
Verdict
Al Maali looks to have plenty on his plate for what he has acheived, but this half-brother to a couple of middle-distance winners should improve for this trip, while Carafe had little more than a piece of work when beating a moderate bunch at Thirsk. She to looks to have a stiff task on the book. The consistent Oakley Rambo looks the one to beat. He hardly knows how to run a bad race and although he runs here off a 2lb higher mark than when runner-up to the improving Pie High at Newmarket last time, he is also open to a little improvement. Cherished Number comes here in good heart and appears on the upgrade, but he is 7lb worse off with Oakley Rambo for a length, when just out of the frame in a competitive handicap at Headquarters back in May.
