In depth

Verdict

This looks quite a tight contest and with the older horses all exposed, it may pay to be with an improving three-year-old, and Gemini Future fits the bill nicely. Alec Stewart's colt should be suited by this step up in trip, as there is plenty of stamina in the family, and as he elected to come here, instead of taking up one of his three other engagements this week, the hint should be taken. Impeller finds winning difficult, while Leave To Appeal looks flattered by her current mark. The consistent Lunar Leader is fully effective under these conditions, but she may find one or two too good for her at this level. Pay The Silver didn't have things go his way last time and is worthy of plenty of respect, while the likes of Lara Falana and African Sahara look to have plenty on at the weights. Mister Arjay isn't straightforward, but this is a drop in class for him and he can't be left out of calculations, neither can Frontier, who has plenty of solid form to his name, but Gemini Future is expected to improve for the step up in trip and is taken to prove too strong for his rivals at the weights.
