In depth

Verdict

Emirates Skyline disappointed at Newbury last time but had won well on a softer surface at Doncaster on his debut and may be worth another chance with Chris Corsa and Dark Islander rated the main dangers. Like many of Godolphin's youngsters, the selection has looked as though he would need more time and the likelihood is that there is plenty more to come from the son of Sunday Silence, especially now that he is back on a softer surface. Blitzkrieg should improve for racing on a softer surface and a market move for him would be of interest, while Scarlet Knight is another with ground conditions to suit but probably needs to improve. Tara Too has yet to prove herself over this trip and of more interest may be Chris Corsa, who won well on soft ground at Newcastle last time and looks to be progressing along the right lines. Crystal Air needs to improve but a bigger threat is likely to come from Dark Islander, who is held in high regard but has yet to fully translate his undoubted ability on the gallops to the racecourse. Emirates Skyline looked useful on his debut though and is taken to resume winning ways.
