    Verdict

    Barolo Top looks up against it on today's terms and, though Tell Dad ran out an impressive winner over 6f at Ripon last time, it was a big improvement on his earlier form and he has to prove that was no fluke under different conditions today. Both Farraaj and Kinglet posted decent efforts to win their maidens, but NEWNTON LODGE is preferred. He made an impressive winning debut over C&D in what looked a hot maiden last month and the runner-up has already franked the form. Roger Charlton's colt looks worth sticking with here.
