Verdict

Delagate This Lord finished runner-up on fast going in last year’s renewal and hasn’t won since 2017. FANTASY KEEPER had just the two outings last season but gave notice of a big run here when narrowly beaten at Goodwood last week. At home on soft going, Mick Appleby’s charge gets the vote. Kodiac Express has yet to race in soft ground but was placed at Chelmsford last time having slipped down the weights along with Pettochside, who will relish the underfoot conditions. Wiley Post has done all his winning so far on fast ground and the less exposed Our Oystercatcher is preferred.
