Verdict

PICTURE DEALER improved to take a 6f Brighton maiden but it was his subsequent run at Doncaster that points to his chances here. Held up, he began to make ground when his path was blocked at a crucial stage before running on very strongly to be beaten a nose. He's been raised 5lb but Ryan Moore takes over the reigns and compensation awaits. Moore was on board when Khubala scored on soft ground at Leicester last month when Mister Musicmaster was behind but not when he completed a double at Doncaster where he defied trouble in-running. He's improving fast and even another 7lb rise shouldn't prevent a big run. Lupo D'Oro has failed to win in 14 starts which is incredible as he's been placed on ten of those occasions including when runner-up over the C&D in September. He looks certain to win soon while Redcar winner Isola Verde is much better than she showed at Newmarket last time. Heartsong has been looking a few pounds high after completing a double in April.
