Verdict

Ascot Day hasn't run badly in Class 2 handicaps since scoring at Lingfield in January and this represents a big drop in grade. Blitz, a winner at Dundalk for Johnny Murtagh, gained her first victory for Clive Cox at Windsor though that was on soft ground. TAHOO made all in a slightly higher grade handicap on that latter track earlier this month and with just 4lb extra to contend with looks the one to beat though Fair Cop didn't last out an extra furlong last time and reverts to her best trip. Erissmus Maximus looks high enough in the weights and though Ocelot looks the best of Robert Cowell's pair and won comfortably at Leicester she'll need to step-up a gear from 7lb higher.
