    Verdict

    It’s interesting to see Laafy, a half-brother to two smart winners, make his debut in a race like this rather than a maiden but he doesn’t yet have any fancy entries. GOOD FORTUNE weakened quickly once headed in a Listed race at Newbury last time and wouldn’t want any rain. But he does appear favoured by conditions here and may be able to hold off Double Kodiac, having his first run in this country after two in France, and Goldino Bello, who is also penalised and is another last seen running on the other side of the English Channel. Walkinthesand was headed right on the line over 7f here on debut and the winner has since finished third in a decent nursery so the form is probably useful.
