Verdict

It could be worth keeping on the right side of October's Salisbury winner Keepax this year, though he may just need this. Lelaps led at this distance on his reappearance at Doncaster and could appreciate the return to 1m while Halling Dancer wasn't disgraced on his comeback at Ascot, though appears to have a little find with runner-up Tight Lipped on that run. Takeitfromalady showed a willing attitude to beat Fire Ship at Windsor earlier this month and is on the upgrade but she may need softer ground to reproduce her best while Mutafaakir looks too high in the weights on his handicap debut. FLAXEN FLARE finished behind Mutafaakir at Newmarket last month but got very warm beforehand that day and that run is best ignored. He was back to his best when successful at Windsor subsequently and can follow up here.
