        Verdict

        A winner over three furlongs in the states, America America showed her best form in this country when upped to six furlongs at Newmarket last time and is taken to open her account in Britain today at the main expense of Dowager, from the Richard Hannon stable and Lucky Pipit. The last mentioned represents trainer Barry Hills, who has his juvenile string in particularly good form right now, and comes here following a comfortable success over this trip at Kempton last time. This is tougher though and, along with the likes of Mick Channon's Fun And Games and John Gosden's debut winner Leopard Hunt, she is likely to have to settle for a place at best behind America America. Franck Mourier's filly, a daughter of 2,000 Guineas winner Mister Baileys, looked in need of the experience when down the field behind the high-class filly Attraction in the Queen Mary on her British debut. However, she has shown progressive form since and stayed on strongly at the end of the six furlongs when second to Venables at Newmarket last time. The extra furlong should bring about further improvement and she is taken to go one better.
